UOW Malaysia is part of the University of Wollongong Australia's global network and has a long-standing commitment to providing accessible, high-quality tertiary education in Malaysia and its surrounding regions, formerly known as KDU College and University Colleges. In November 2018, KDU entered an agreement with UOW Global Enterprises, a subsidiary of the University of Wollongong, which acquired a controlling stake in the KDU institutions. As a result, in November 2019, the institutions were rebranded to UOW Malaysia, which now includes the University of Wollongong Malaysia, UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, UOW Malaysia KDU College, and UOW Malaysia College. Beyond Malaysia, the University of Wollongong also has campuses in Australia, Dubai, and Hong Kong.
